EMBARASSING COLLAPSE ! Former QB blasts Texan’s poor performance

The Texans found a new silly way to break hearts on Sunday, blowing a 16-point first-half lead and losing 26-23 to the Lions at home. Even with five takeaways, Houston couldn’t close the deal, watching Detroit hit a 52-yard game-winning field goal as time expired.

It was a game they’ll want to forget. C.J. Stroud threw two costly interceptions, including one in the end zone that could’ve been a touchdown. The defense gave up three scoring drives, and usually reliable kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn missed a 53-yard attempt late in the game.

Former NFL QB Chris Simms didn’t mince words about the Texans’ struggles. He pointed the finger at offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, calling his play-calling kinda predictable. “It’s like the entry-level version of the Shanahan scheme,” Simms said, adding the Texans need to step it up.

Houston hasn’t scored a second-half touchdown since Week 6, an eight-quarter drought that frustrated all the fans . The good news? Nico Collins is set to return Monday night, and they’ll face a struggling Cowboys team without Dak Prescott. It’s a chance for the Texans to bounce back and prove they can get out of their own way.
