NFL’s Edmund To Invade History

Tremaine Edmunds Set to Make NFL History Against Vikings
This Sunday, Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is set to make history as the youngest player in NFL history (26 years, 206 days) to reach 100 regular-season games. Despite the milestone, Edmunds remains focused on securing a win. “That stat means a lot, but it’ll feel even better celebrating a win with my teammates,” he said. Edmunds has been breaking records since his NFL debut. Drafted by the Bills in 2018 at 19 years and 11 months, he was the second-youngest player ever selected. As a rookie, he became the youngest player in league history to intercept a pass.
Bears Lean Into Pre-Snap Motion
The Bears are finding new ways to elevate their play. Last week against the Packers, they ramped up their use of pre-snap motion. Coach Matt Eberflus highlighted its benefits: “Motion creates mismatches in the run and pass game, helping us get players in space.” Receiver DJ Moore agreed, saying, “It’s tiring, but if it helps the team, it’s worth it.”
Injury and Roster Updates
Running back D’Andre Swift (groin) and several others missed practice Wednesday. Coach Eberflus described Swift’s injury as minor, expressing hope he’ll play Sunday. On the roster, the Bears promoted receiver Collin Johnson to the active roster and re-signed safety Adrian Colbert to the practice squad. As the Bears prepare to face the Vikings, all eyes will be on Edmunds, who hopes to celebrate both a personal milestone and a team victory.
